The lead unit was originally Comeng NSW built ALCo M636 5489 serial C6084-5, while second unit 5644 was originally a AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 5471 serial G6047-3.

Budd in 1939 numbered 301 as the Silver Star as a diner-parlour-observation coach on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's General Pershing Zephyr train from the 1930s and 1940s. Donated to Mt Newman Mining Co. by AMAX an original joint venture partner to commemorate the projects first 100 million tonnes of iron ore railed between Mount Whaleback mine and the Port Hedland port.

060724 7864398 viewsOriginal Hamersley Iron compressor waggon sets IC-1 and IC-3 which were made from cutting down condemned ore waggons and then fitting Atlas Copco XAS 97 air compressors, receiver tanks and fuel tanks. The compressors have been fitted to a swing cradle to limit the in-train forces during the unloading process. 7 Mile 24th July 2006.

251-06398 viewsNelson Point, BHP's recently retired Goninan WA ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuild unit 5507 awaits its fate. Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6035-2 and road number 5461 and assigned new serial number 4839-03 / 87-072. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Ethel Creek, then in 1991 5507 emerged in BHP livery carrying Mt Whaleback, then renamed to Corunna Downs and again finally to Nimingarra, it was also one of three units to carry the Goldsworthy Joint Venture lettering. In 2003 it was fully rebuilt and leased to Pilbara Rail in that livery and numbered 5051. It survives stored at 7 mile complex as at Dec 2021. 22nd April 2000.

267-22398 viewsGoldsworthy Junction, CM40-8M GE rebuild unit 5634 'Boodarie' serial number 8151-07 / 91-120 turns on the power as it passes Goldsworthy Junction relay room and continues along the Newman Mainline with the Sundowner and sister unit 5653. The realigned former Goldsworthy line to the Yarrie and Nimingarra mines can be seen curving away to the left in front of 5634. Friday 12th of April 2002.
