248-25400 viewsSeven Mile yard, stored Robe River ALCo locomotives at the south end of the Hamersley Iron Seven Mile yard on roads N2 and N3. On road N2 is 9426 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Behind it is sister unit 9427 and ALCo M636 9412. Approximate location. 24th April 2004.

251-06400 viewsNelson Point, BHP's recently retired Goninan WA ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuild unit 5507 awaits its fate. Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6035-2 and road number 5461 and assigned new serial number 4839-03 / 87-072. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Ethel Creek, then in 1991 5507 emerged in BHP livery carrying Mt Whaleback, then renamed to Corunna Downs and again finally to Nimingarra, it was also one of three units to carry the Goldsworthy Joint Venture lettering. In 2003 it was fully rebuilt and leased to Pilbara Rail in that livery and numbered 5051. It survives stored at 7 mile complex as at Dec 2021. 22nd April 2000.

245-12400 viewsWudinna, north bound empty grain train arrives behind a trio of former Australian National locomotives with rebuilt former AE Goodwin ALCo model DL531 830 class ex 839, serial 83730, rebuilt by Port Augusta Workshops to DA class, DA 4 leading two AE Goodwin ALCo model DL531 830 class units 842, serial 84140 and 851 serial 84137, 851 having been on the Eyre Peninsula since delivered in 1962, to shunt off empty waggons into the grain siding. 7th April 2003.

267-22400 viewsGoldsworthy Junction, CM40-8M GE rebuild unit 5634 'Boodarie' serial number 8151-07 / 91-120 turns on the power as it passes Goldsworthy Junction relay room and continues along the Newman Mainline with the Sundowner and sister unit 5653. The realigned former Goldsworthy line to the Yarrie and Nimingarra mines can be seen curving away to the left in front of 5634. Friday 12th of April 2002.

Loaded with an SCF 48' MFGB type container SCFU 482064.
