The straddle crane is a newish unit built by Vaia Car model no. TCR-V and the four wheels are chain driven, replacing the original Gemco hydraulic unit.

The compressors have been fitted to a swing cradle to limit the in-train forces during the unloading process. 7 Mile 23rd July 2006.
